Vetro Power Nano-Dynamis Anti-Fouling is a transparent, ready-to-use nanocoating that provides long-lasting protection against marine growth such as algae, barnacles, and biofilm on metal surfaces. Powered by polysilazane technology, it forms a durable chemical bond with the substrate and cures at room temperature with atmospheric humidity. The coated surface resists adhesion of fouling agents and can be cleaned with ease—without the need for frequent recoating.
Open or Close What surfaces can this coating be used on?
This coating is ideal for marine, industrial, and infrastructure surfaces prone to biofouling. Suitable surfaces include painted or bare metal, GRP, marine plastics, underwater equipment, ship hulls, offshore platforms, and submerged surfaces in coastal or brackish water zones.
Open or Close How long does the coating last?
The coating offers durable protection for up to 5 years under water and marine exposure. For optimal results, we recommend reapplication every 4-5 years.
Open or Close Is the coating transparent? Will it change the look of the surface?
Yes, the coating is completely transparent and does not alter the appearance, gloss, or colour of the surface.
Open or Close What is the average coverage area for the coating?
Average coverage is 12–15 ml/m², depending on the porosity and surface texture.
Open or Close What are the right tools to use to apply the coating?
Use microfiber applicators or HVLP spray systems. For large surfaces like ship hulls or metal infrastructure, spray application by trained personnel is recommended.
Open or Close What condition does the substrate need to be prior to application?
The surface must be dry, clean, and free from grease, salts, and previous biofilm or coatings. Ensure it is thoroughly dried, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
Open or Close What is the application process & curing period?
Apply in dry conditions at temperatures above 5°C. The coating is touch-dry in 1 hour and water-resistant in 8–12 hours. Full curing takes 5–7 days at room temperature, or faster at elevated heat.
Open or Close What are the safety instructions & precautions to take during application?
.
Follow the Safety Data Sheet and ensure proper PPE is worn. Only trained personnel should perform application.
Open or Close Can I paint over the coating?
No. The coating repels most paints and coatings. Painting should only be done before application.
Open or Close Will the coating discolour, crack or peel off?
No. It is UV-stable and forms a highly durable bond with the substrate once cured.
Open or Close Can I remove the coating to paint/repaint the surface?
Yes, but removal requires sanding or abrasion. It cannot be removed with standard chemical cleaners.
Open or Close How do I clean the surface post-coating?
Use pH-neutral to mildly alkaline cleaners (pH 3–12). Biofouling is easier to remove with gentle brushing or pressure cleaning, without harsh chemicals.
