The coating is a water-based concentrate, that is only to be prepared with deiniosed water. As soon as the ready-to-use product is applied and the surface is hand-dry (as soon as the carrier liquid water is evaporated), the textile surface, e.g. carpets, sofas or chairs can be used again. This fabric coating for sofas can also be used in commercial applications in hotels, as well as in health institutions as a part of cleaning & maintainance routine. The textile surfaces as e.g. carpet or upholstery are used again as usual as soon as they are hand-dry. Depending on the ambient temperature, this can only takes a few minutes. Becoming hand-dry, i.e. the carrier liquid water evaporates, can be accelerated by additional warmth (heater / hair dryer).  The 24 hours as indicated in the product information only refer to the period the product needs to fully cure on the surface, before the performance examination with substances such as juice or other staining substances is tested & for enhanced longevity.

It does not protect against drops or deep scratches, so it is not a replacement for a case or a tempered glass protector where impact protection is the priority. It has to be applied to a clean, dry, residue-free surface to bond properly, and it wears with heavy abrasion. Its strengths are cleanability, fingerprint resistance and invisibility rather than physical armour.

There is nothing to peel off. The layer is a few nanometres thick and wears away gradually with abrasion; it can be reduced faster with an alcohol-based cleaner and a microfibre cloth, after which the surface can be recoated. Because it is invisible and adds no thickness, there is normally no reason to remove it.
